Non Woven Bag Price per Kg: What Decides the Rate, and How to Compare Quotes
Printed non woven D-cut bags cost ₹245–₹266 per kg from us, handle bags ₹265–₹286 and U-cut bags ₹260–₹280 (10 October 2026 rates, ex-factory, before GST and freight). Within each range, the rate depends on the value of your whole order. The rate is the same for every size, so a bigger bag simply means fewer bags in each kilo. To compare quotes from two suppliers, compare the cost per bag at the same GSM, not the rate per kg.

What decides the rate per kg
1. The bag type. A D-cut bag has its handle punched into the bag, so it is the cheapest to make. A sewn loop handle costs more. A U-cut costs a little more per kg than a D-cut, but its 60 GSM fabric is lighter, so each kilo holds more bags; per bag it is the cheapest we make. Our guide to bag types explains which suits which shop.
2. The value of your whole order. Each bag has three rates: for orders above ₹40,000, from ₹20,000 to ₹40,000, and below ₹20,000. Everything in one order counts towards the total, so different sizes and bag types add up.
3. The print. One or two colours of offset print are included in the rate. A design that covers the whole bag (a full background) or a multi-colour design adds ₹20 per kg. The small 9 × 11 inch D-cut is printed on one side; printing both sides adds ₹30 per kg.
4. What is not in the rate. A one-time printing block charge, from ₹150 for a single colour (see block charges), plus GST and freight.
Order one kilo more and pay less
Each rate applies once your order reaches its value at that rate. Near the ₹20,000 and ₹40,000 marks, a slightly bigger order can cost less in total:

From price per kg to price per bag
The number of bags in a kilo depends on the size and the GSM. For a rough count, work out the weight of the fabric in one bag:
grams per bag ≈ width × height (in inches) × 2 sides × 0.000645 × GSM
A 12 × 18 inch bag in 80 GSM: 12 × 18 × 2 × 0.000645 × 80 ≈ 22 g, so about 45 bags in a kilo. Here is what that means per bag for 80 GSM D-cut bags:

These are estimates from the fabric alone. The punched handle removes a little fabric and the ink adds a little, so ask us for the pieces per kg in your size before you order.
How to compare two quotes per kg
A lower rate per kg is not always a lower price. Before you compare, check:
- The GSM. At the same rate per kg, a 70 GSM bag gives more bags per kilo than an 80 GSM bag, but each bag is weaker. Ask for the GSM in writing, and check it yourself with a 10 × 10 cm square and a kitchen scale.
- Printed or plain. Some rates are for plain bags. Ours include one or two colours of print.
- What is extra. Block charges, GST and freight: is the quote ex-factory or delivered to your town?
- Payment terms. Our rates are for 50% advance and the balance at billing.
- The cost per bag. Ask both suppliers how many bags of your size come in a kilo, and divide. That is the number that matters at your counter.
Common questions
Is GST included in the rate per kg? No. Our rates are before GST and freight. Freight is quoted for your town.
Why is the rate the same for every size? Because the price follows the fabric. A bigger bag uses more fabric, so you get fewer of them in a kilo, and the price per bag rises with the size.
Can I mix sizes in one order to reach a better rate? Yes. The rate is decided by the value of the whole order, so different sizes and bag types add up.
How many D-cut bags are in one kg? About 69 at 10 × 14 inch, 45 at 12 × 18 inch and 30 at 16 × 20 inch in 80 GSM. Ask us for the count in your size.
